When no one shows up for your work mountain club hike, you hike what you want to hike. South Moat in this case, a repeat of my first winter hike.

After no one showed up for a work-related hike, a friend of mine and idea up the difficulty a bit and hiked South Moat Mountain. We parked at the South Moat Mountain trail head parking on Passaconaway Road in Conway, New Hampshire. We hike up Moat Mountain trail to the summit in our microspike and returned the same way.
